Thanksgiving Thankfuls Early

  1. I am starting my Thankful Things this week instead of Thanksgiving Day.
#1 I went to a meeting this morning and I am thankful I kinda sorta kept my mouth shut.
#2 I am starving and I am thankful I have food in my house.
#3 I am so happy and thankful that Bristol Palin is in the finals for Dancing with the Stars. She is
a normal, everyday girl. Well, her mother is not average, but hey think about your own.
#4 It is hot, but another cold front is coming tonight. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!
#5 I am doing a series of thank-you notes and I am one down and three to go, thankful.
I don't have anymore at the moment, but it is early yet. Hopefully I will get back to it tomorrow or the day after.

The Best Day of the Week

I have been delinquent in my blogging and I apologize to you and to myself. I got a little distracted yesterday. I had a big day with a trip to Port Aransas. Jackie(my bestest friend), that's what she calls herself, and I left our daily grind and drove like bats out of hell to the wonderful paradise. When you get on the ferry, all and everything just floats away and your left with carefree. We shopped, shopped some more, ate, looked at the beach and then came home. Now, the best place to shop in Port A is Cita's. They have the best-looking jewelry, right now, and the prices are soooooo good. We ate at Shell's and gave it an 8 out of 10. The food was good, service okay, the prices are more than moderate. I think that means it was expensive! They are very health aware and when we left I wanted to go by Whataburger and get some fries. That's just me, Jackie seemed content. I'm doing the business-end of artsy stuff today, so must get back and focus. I wish you the best of Friday's, we get to stay up tonight and sleep late tomorrow. Today is the first day of my life as a blogger that maybe knows how to put pictures on the blogasphere.
It has taken my daughter awhile to get it going and me being dumb Dora and pushing a few buttons to get this one picture of my darling nieces and grandson to this point. Yeah! Hurrah! Your Go Girl! I can hardly wait to take a picture of my Poopy Dog. Don't hold your breath that this will be posted anytime soon. I have to be able to take the picture and then get it from the camera to the computer. Keep your fingers crossed.
I am finishing a painting this week to eventually become a wonderful thank you note. It needs some glitter and jewels and then it's good to go.
I am planning a trip for the day after Thanksgiving and can hardly wait. I will take pictures so that when I report back to all I will have props; therefore, you won't have to visualize in your head. I hope you have a grand day. Milly

Have you ever? I have been doing federal government junk for a week and I am sick of it. Dealing with the government is like having root canal without any drugs and the tooth is never really fixed. It just goes on and on and on forever and ever! One and only one good thing has come from this ordeal. I ate at a nice place last week-end and they brought me a CHILLED glass of wine. So now I have been chilling my wine glass every evening, after a long day of dealing with G-Men! What a wonderful thing. It sends me over the moon!
I have been working on a new painting, The Rosary, sounds serious doesn't it? Well, it is the rosary, but with a bit of lightheartedness. I don't understand why everything about religion has to be dark or gold-leafed. I do think Jesus was probably a happy person with a sense of humor, we know his Dad certainly has a funny bone.
This week has been good for getting my saggy fanny to the beach early morning and trying like the dickens to get it up and running. Three days straight and the fourth was pilates. Yeah Team!
The Milly Tra..la..la Greeting Cards will be on ebay soon, wholesale. High Hopes Folks!

MY SECOND TRY BLOGETTES!

My dear blogettes, I am trying for the second time this morning to get this to work. I don't know why, but for some reason I couldn't get the last one to publish and it was sooooo brilliant.
I have been creating, meaning doing the paint thing and am almost finished with a piece. Yipeeekaya! I didn't get to blog yesterday because that side of my brain was not working. If I used both sides of my brain at the same time it would not be pretty. I'm talking major explosion in my little studio. So Blogettes here it is, the Big Blogger. Last week was good and this one I'm sure is going to be wonderful once I get past my School Board Meeting this evening. After the bore of the month I will be doing the BIG MOW! I have found if you drink a little wine and mow at 7PM it goes alot faster and so smoothly. My choice of liquor is wine but I'm thinking I might work into Tequila real soon. Just a thought. Speaking of Tequila, Beth will be here on Thursday evening and I'm sure the T Jug will appear as we sit in the Cafe Luna. Also I'm sure the pit will fire up with some wonderful burgers. After that it is laugh until your mascara runs. Enough, must get back to life on Monday. Milly
I apologize to my blogettes(4 maybe) that I forgot to do the blogger on Sunday, my usual time. It seems I had a moment of total wipe out in my brain. The creative juices are flowing and therefore the other side is not going very well. Trying to get both sides of my BRAIN to work, well it is an explosion all over my life. I have almost finished a painting and am trying to get my cards out to the world (mail-outs). I can even complicate a mail-out!
SOOO, this week I have a school board meeting, boring and then on to the BIG MOW at 7PM. It doesn't cool enough before that time and if you have a glass of wine or a shot of tequila it goes alto faster. Beth is coming on Thursday and we will definitely have some tequila and some fun. Remember my blogettes, laugh every week until your mascara runs.

Let"s Get Spititual!

It is Sunday again. I have spent the last week trying to understand windstorm insurance. Well, that's , to me, like trying to learn Greek! I am trying! Once this is over, that will be Monday, I will revel in my paints and canvases. The thought, at this point, makes me salivate. I did take time today and saw Eat, Pray, Love. The book was better but it brought back the thoughts of am I paying enough attention to my soul? So, for it seems an eternity, I will face this next week with thoughts of clearing the decks of the mundane and get to the fun stuff, Life, Love, and making Merry.

The Dog Days of August

Okay, I have blogged once and erased that one so now is the time to start anew(one month later). My blog has been bogged down with life as I know it; messy, chaotic, and very very funny. It took me forever to scrape myself up off the bed after the 4th of July Art Festival and then more life took over. I did start painting again for about a week and then it was time to mow, weed eat, and sweep. I do seem to find many distractions when I am not feeling passionate about art. I have been working on price lists and customers for wholesaling my greeting cards and believe me that is as bad as having a root canal. Any suggestions on wholesaling let me know. Blog out. Milly Lou
